Chunwei Tian, a Professor at the School of Computer Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, a doctoral supervisor, and a Shenzhou Scholar. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Application Technology from Harbin Institute of Technology in March 2021, under the supervision of Prof. Xu Yong, a national distinguished scholar. His postdoctoral co-advisor was Prof. Zhang Yanning (IEEE Fellow), Vice President of Northwestern Polytechnical University and a nationally recognized expert. He is currently with the Machine Learning Center at Harbin Institute of Technology, led by Prof. Zuo Wangmeng , a globally Highly Cited Researcher. From 2022 to 2025, he was listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University. He was also invited to the Huawei “Genius Youth” interview program. His research interests include Image/Video Restoration and Recognition, Image Generation, Speech Processing ,Intelligent Transportation, Multimodal and Large Models.
He has published more than 100 papers in leading international journals such as the IEEE Transactions series, Pattern Recognition, Neural Networks, and Information Fusion. He has authored one monograph and one textbook. His publications include eight ESI Highly Cited Papers (including three Hot Papers), four cover papers in top-tier journals, and four benchmark papers in the international field of image super-resolution. One of his research achievements has been applied in CT imaging systems of a U.S. medical imaging company, and another has been adopted in Apple’s iOS camera system.
He received the Best Paper Award from Pattern Recognition, one of the top international journals in pattern recognition (ranked first author), the International Signal Processing Association Blog Paper(ranked first author),the Second Prize of the Natural Science Award of the Chinese Society for Image and Graphics(ranked first author),and the First Prize of the Guangdong Province Natural Science Award. He also served as a member of the editorial board or guest editor of SCI journals such as CAAI Transaction on Intelligence Technology, IEEE TFS, IEEE TCE. ‘BRDNet’ extented the network width by dual networks to address image denoising. Also, it can resolve the problem of uneven distribution of samples in the training processing of CNNs on resource-constrained platform. (That is published on the Neural Networks)
‘ADNet’ (Neural Networks, 2020) used singnal processing, perception theory and human brain mechanism to guide CNN for dealing with image denoising with complex background noisy images, such as blind denoising. (That is published on the Neural Networks)

‘CFSRCNN’ uses obtained low-frequency from heterogeneous convolutional architecture and high-frequency features to enhance the stability of training a SR model. ( That is published on the IEEE TMM, 2020.)
‘ACNet’ uses a model for SISR task of a certain scale, blind SR and blind SR with blind noise. Also, it enhances the effect of local key features to accelerate the training speed and improve the SR performance. (That is accepted by the IEEE TSMC, 2021)
